Welcome

I’m glad you’re here. My name is Amanda, and I provide psychotherapy for youth, adults, and families across Ontario. I work with people who want to reduce stress, work through trauma, and shift patterns that feel automatic or hard to change.

My work is informed by the nervous system, with attention to how experiences are held in the body and how change can happen gently over time.

Many of the people I work with are capable, responsible, and used to managing a lot, often in high-stress or high-responsibility roles. In high-pressure environments, the mind and body often adapt in ways that are helpful in the short term but costly over time. Therapy can support you in changing patterns you feel stuck in, releasing stress held in the nervous system, and reconnecting with a steadier, more authentic way of being.

Our work is collaborative and paced with care. Together, we focus on understanding how patterns developed and supporting new ways of responding as they emerge. Over time, this can support greater flexibility, clarity, and a stronger connection to how you want to show up in your life.

You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin. We start where you are and build from there.

Supporting People

People arrive in therapy for many different reasons. Some of the concerns that often bring people in include:

  • Addiction and substance use

  • Anxiety, ongoing stress, and feeling overwhelmed

  • Crisis support and periods of acute stress

  • Depression and low mood

  • Disordered eating

  • Grief and loss

  • Life transitions and periods of change

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Parenting challenges and family dynamics

  • Personality-related patterns

  • Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

In some situations, I may request collaboration with your primary care provider.
